Some customers found the menu options limited but top quality. Was Anonym at Collins a mag?
Only giving stars due to the way old long customers are being treated. David is the heart and soul of collins's and has also been a gentleman, the poor man looks stressed lately thou. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Collins:
Had a family meal out, no occasion, Food only Alright, €16.95 for a chicken burger with two small fillets in a brioche bun, with lettuce on the side and a few chips very minimal, Fish Chips looked tasty (ordered by another party at table) again €16.95, served on a pea puré and on top of Tartar sauce, (hope you like tartar with your fish, as you've no choice) €6.95 for a bowl of bland soup, as said, nothing wrong, jus... I bumped it to a two star simply because I like this bar and the pints are good. **** of mercy was the food diabolical. I had wings and herself had a duck salad. We ate half of it probably because it cost 30 quid. Even the skinny fries were poor, how do you mess up chips?? Very disappointed, will never eat here again. Pints are good however, atmosphere and staff great!
Hadn't been to Collins Bar, Dooradoyle for a long time and I phoned and booked a table with my son on the 23/12/20. We filled out contact tracing details on entering and we were politely and kindly guided by Dave to a seated marquee area as the main lounge area was fully booked that evening. I was really pleasantly surprised and delighted with the comfort of this marquee positioned away from the designated smoking area and credit to the management for providing a lovely warm area enclosed with its own door system for entering and leaving and with heaters positioned above you, tables and chairs perfectly positioned and cosy blankets for customers, it was so warm. We had a nice meal, a couple of nice pints of Tuborg, two large TV's in the marquee, a great atmosphere there but what was noticeable was how comfortable and relaxed people were throughout the main lounge area because of how well managed the social distance of tables was and what struck me today on Christmas Day is how much I would have loved to go for a pint during the Christmas period and that the government should have at least considered giving the people of Ireland at least until the 01/01/21 before deciding to close venues due to the ongoing Pandemic the chance to enjoy meeting friends and family alike in a well supervised, safe, clean, socially distant and well organised pub like Collins Bar is. The young ladies waitressing as well as the bar staff that evening were fantastic, so well mannered and Ciara and the other blond lady, I think, Niamh, forgive me if I got the name wrong were very pleasant and helpful and were busy throughout the evening taking our orders.
Was passing through limerick and decided to take a pit stop and came across Collins bar. Seated quickly. However when served food I found a hair in my dish. Very disappointing given Covid, this shouldn’t happen
Lovely place to watch matches! Amazing desserts too. Very expensive but worth it
We recently held a corporate gathering and chose Collins Bar for lunch and from start to finish the experience was outstanding. From the initial booking with Eileen right through to the smallest details on the day, everything was organised superbly. We had just one hour for lunch and needed to get 60 people fed, which could easily have been a challenge, but for the team at Collins, it was no problem at all. Colette, Joanna and the rest of the staff were on the ball from the moment we arrived, managing everything seamlessly and ensuring that all dietary requirements were carefully catered for. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and professional, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere despite the tight schedule. The food was absolutely delicious and every single person in our group was delighted with their meal. An exceptional experience all round, fantastic organisation, wonderful staff and excellent food
