Finest restaurant in Lima in any sense and probably one of the best of South America. the food is only exquisite and is the perfect atmosphere por any occasion.

I was in Lima for 2 months, I tried practically all Italian restaurants here and without a doubt is symposium years before all Eals.

This was recommended to be popular with locals. We've been abandoned. A good service is required for high prices. Quiet mid-week night with few tables. We were without drinks, without menus, the food was ok, but not big, the lights flashed and needed to replace, and the Bill process was painful. I will not go back because there is only too much good competition in Lima

Symposium is not for the weak heart. It is elegant, polished, expensive and completely worth it. It is a restaurant for restaurant lovers and diners of finer art, which is high end hospitality. It is beyond me why this place is not to visit at the “upper places” hit list of Lima. Heck, it should be in the top 50 of San Pellegrino the top 100 restaurants in Latin America. Marco the owner and general economist is a true master. It is a mixture of an Italian mythological character and an exquisite restaurant. For years, my employee and my dear friend and I passed the symposium. Always comment on the elegant room and interesting menu. When he wanted to leave our organization for a new appearance, we decided to pull the lever and pamper it. It was great. Sr. Marco put together a “sick menu” for my buddy and me. Just perfect . . . and made that much more fun with an excellent bottle of Italian Tuscan red. Sure, it's an expensive place. It costs you Manhattan, Chicago or San Francisco prices. And it's worth it. One of the absolute best. In every way from the ambience, to the impeccable service, to the authentic Italian provincial dishes. A true winner of a place.

My dad was Italian, and a sybarite at that, so when I talk about northern Italian food, take my word, I know what I 'm talking about. The restaurant has a good location and the decor was cozy. Our waiter was helpful, although he did not offer recommendations and when our waiter suggested an appetizer dish to share (we were a party of 4), we thought we 'd get a sharable dish...it was barely big enough for 1 person! The servings are EXTREMELY and RIDICULOUSLY small, stilyshly decorated dishes but not that tasty and lacking flavor. Is it a top-end Italian restaurant? NO, Lima has better ones. Would I go back? Definitely NO. Sorry. I like to get my money 's worth, and although the food was not bad, it certainly wasn 't worth what we paid.
