Many years ago, eating a real Peruvian sandwich, chicharron with sweet potato and 'Butifarra whit onions salad meant going to dungeons or wheelbarrow places in the middle of the street. Today is not like that. We can eat very well comfortably seated and in a pleasant atmosphere. Refilo is to my taste one of the best places to enjoy Peruvian cuisine between two rich breads. My favorite: La Butifarra. The chicharron and many chicha morada a typical Andean juice, made with the Morado corn that only in Peru can be savored. You can drink many glasses because Refilo has Refill... An excellent option!
My wife and I were in Barranco and were lucky enough to find Refilo. Peru has a love affair with the sandwich (sanguch in classic Peruvian) and this is one of the best. The only challenge for a foreigner is figuring out what to order on it. They have shoestring potatoes (but you have to ask them for it) and a list of sauces including aji (Peruvian pepper sauce) and golf (a combination of mayonnaise and ketchup) and even tartar. Add some onions and it's all you need on the go.
It's good. but not the best chicharrón to be sure. but if I want more change than just chicharrón, this is a good place. This place also opens late, which is a huge perk and sandwiches are better quality than what can find on av. aviación near.
The place is not very big, average for about 20 people maximum, the attention is not very good, they lack a lot to give a good customer experience, the dishes they serve are relatively good and they are generous with the amount of creams, however the cost vs benefit is in debt since the portions are small, relatively recommendable, but if they lack a lot of attitude, quality in attention and tremendously improve the customer experience that for now does not exist.
