The service was good overall, but it was slow. It seemed like the staff may have been short-staffed or unprepared for a busy night, as a two-course meal should not have taken nearly 2 hours.
My experience on Father's Day was disappointing. The potatoes were burnt and the Eton mess did not have any blueberries. Despite the good atmosphere and service, the food was a letdown.
This charming pub restaurant is dog-friendly and offers a very warm welcome from the cheerful staff. The establishment is well-run and reflects positively on Vintage Inns.
Me and my girlfriend love a good Sunday lunch. We live in Sutton Coldfield but travel out most Sundays to find a good place for sunday lunch with our pug Pablo, we have been to the hedgehog before for evening meals but never for a sunday lunch. We were really well looked after by all the staff and Pablo had loads of attention from staff and other customers we felt really welcomed especially with Pablo. The food and service was great, 10/10 for sunday lunch we will definitely be returning.
Our night was a total disaster. There was 9 of us out for a family get together the service was appalling we waited over 1 1/2 hours for any food to appear. When it came it was not good ranging from burnt to dried up and cold. Needless to say that we will not be going back there again or recommend to anyone.
