Queens Fish Bar, once a beloved local spot, is facing growing disappointment among its patrons. While some diners praise the cleanliness and friendly staff, many express frustration over inconsistent quality in their meals. Complaints range from dry fish and unappetizing chips to mix-ups with orders, including a worrying incident involving a child's spicy burger. Although a few customers enjoyed flavorful pizzas and substantial portions of chips, experiences vary widely. As loyal customers reminisce about better days, the restaurant must address its service and food quality to regain trust and restore its reputation in the community.
Lovely food, decent portions the staff are really friendly. This is our local chip shop from now on.
Cold chips and no decent customer service. Not even a please or thank you from the server. No battered chips left at 1.15pm and not cooking anymore presumably as they need to get rid of the cold chips they have. This used to be a decent chippy but it's gone downhill terribly. The kebab meat is soggy from standing in pans and not cut fresh. I don't recommend this chippy at all any more. £2.99 for a handful of cold chips!!!
I am very disappointed with my recent experience at Queen's restaurant. I used to love this place and would always recommend it to others, but in the last two visits (including tonight), the mini fish we ordered were extremely dry and lacked flavor. It felt like they had been fried for too long and left sitting under a lamp for too long. This was at 8pm on a Saturday evening, so I expected the fish to be freshly cooked. The chips were also lacking in flavor. Overall, I am very disappointed and will now have to find a new fish and chips place in Lichfield.
