Carora Bistro - Lenexa

I was looking for a Venezuelan place in the KCI area, and I could not have had some luck. This place is amazing. The food is delicious and authentic. I felt like I was back home with every bite. Your Tequeños, empanadas, arepas are amazing. The service is wonderful, the owner (I guess) treated me as if I were her old friend. Super friendly and committed. I will definitely come back and hopefully bring some people.

The food in Carora Bistoro is good, though perhaps overpriced. Carolina, the owner, is nice as long as you have no criticism. My now wife, who is also from Venezuela, and I have decided to accompany Carora both our wedding dinner and our reception the next day. That was a serious mistake. We ordered food for 65 people at the trial dinner and it ran out after 52 people had a plate. The next morning, our wedding day, Carolina insisted that we return their chaffing dishes immediately, unlike the plan that they will pick them up at the reception when they delivered the food for this event later this evening. We returned the food as in demand, which was a great inconvenience. And then she appeared 40 minutes to the reception with her food!! In our correspondence according to the fact, they in fact blame us for all above, always defend their service perfectly. Again, food is okay. But the owner is an unprofessional, poisonous person who cannot hold her word. There are other options for Venezuelan food in KC. I'd try it first. And avoid Carora completely for an event.

I'm really glad we found this place. This food was so good and the owner was very pleasant to talk to. We had both the Arepas and Empanadas and each had excellent flavor and texture. Currently they're only open for lunch, but I definitely recommend making a trip.

I loved this place the lady that serves is very sweet and makes you feel very welcomed the place is very clean and the food is awesome the pastelitos are very good and the empanadas, overall everything is very tasty sauces are great and I will definitely be coming here more often thanks for the greats service ?

Best Venezuelan food in Kansas City area. The owners are always there and make you feel back in Venezuela. If you are not from Venezuela they are the best to make you feel the best Venezuelan food experience you would ever have! Their pernil sándwich is incredible!
