Finally a Venezuelan restaurant!! And a really good one at that! If you haven?t given this place a chance yet, please do so expeditiously. Definitely don?t miss out on the tequeños (they?re these cheese sticks from the heavens) or the pernil sándwich(pork sandwich that?s bomb.com). We ordered everything to go and it smelled so good in the car that we just ended up eating itbefore pulling up to our driveway. They also do to-go family size orders for different home meals as well when you just don?tfeel like cooking dinner and still want a warm home cooked meal; the pasticho is my favorite of those. It?s essentially alasagna loaded with meat, Um yes please. We?ll def be hitting this spot up again very soon!

I had been looking for a Venezuelan place in the KCI area and I couldn?t had gotten any luckier. This place is amazing. The food is delicious and authentic. I felt like I was back home with every bite I took. Their tequeños, empanadas, arepas are amazing. The service is wonderful, the owner (I?m guessing) treated me like I was her old friend. Super friendly and dedicated. I willdefinitely be back and hopefully bring some people along.

The food at Carora Bistoro is good, albeit perhaps overpriced. Carolina, the owner, is nice, as long as you have no criticism. My now wife, who is also from Venezuela, and I decided to have Carora cater both our wedding rehearsal dinner and our receptionthe next day. This was a grave mistake. We ordered food for 65 people at the rehearsal dinner and it ran out after 52 people hada plate. The next morning, our wedding day, Carolina insisted that we return her chaffing dishes immediately, contrary to theplan that she pick them up at the reception venue when she delivered the food for that event later that evening. We returned thedishes as asked, which was a great inconvenience. And then she showed up 40 minutes late to the reception with her food!! In ourcorrespondence after the fact, she in effect blamed us for all of the above, defending her service always impeccable. Again, the food is ok. But the owner is an unprofessional, toxic person who cannot keep her word. There are other options forVenezuelan food in KC. I would try those first. And avoid Carora completely for ANY catered event.

I'm really glad we found this place. This food was so good and the owner was very pleasant to talk to. We had both the Arepas and Empanadas and each had excellent flavor and texture. Currently they're only open for lunch, but I definitely recommendmaking a trip.

The restaurant has a very cozy and beautifully designed interior. The food is truly amazing—I enjoyed the best arepas I've ever had. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic about serving delicious meals. It’s a perfect spot for lunch, and I only wish they were open for dinner as well.
