My family and I visit Garner State Park once a year, and going to Hillside afterward has become a cherished tradition. The bands and the brisket are fantastic, and they serve some of the best potato salad I've ever tasted.

The owner displayed trophies, which made it clear why the food was so exceptional. The potato salad and coleslaw were homemade and absolutely delicious. The coleslaw was creamy but flavorful, and the corn was fresh. A plate with a quarter pound of meat, two sides, and a drink was only $9—something you wouldn't find at home! The owners came to our table several times to check on us. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!
