This was the best trip ever! Our group of 19 rented snowmobiles from these young people and it was the highlight of our stay in Deadwood. They were so amazing and we will definitely do it again if they are open for the snow season. Absolutely the best experience! View all feedback.

It was enjoyable to see how many bikers hang out and enjoy the trails.

The cabin we stayed in was spotless, cozy, and had an amazing ambiance. The staff at this location are all fantastic! They go above and beyond to ensure their guests have a comfortable stay. They are friendly and entertaining. The dining options at the lodge are excellent, so we opted to dine there. We were able to appreciate the fresh snow that had fallen on the trails the day before. The trails are easily accessible from the accommodation, as well as ample parking for trailers. The lodge staff are also very informative and helpful with trail information. I will definitely return in either winter or summer to enjoy the pristine cabins and exceptional service from the staff.

I called Trailshead lodge in October to schedule a snowmobile trip in mid-March with my family. I asked about snow conditions that late in the year and what would happen if I had to cancel. Trailshead stated that if I needed to cancel there would be no problem as long as it was thirty days before the trip. We ended up canceling the trip (60 days before the trip) but when I called Trailshead to cancel they stated there was a cancellation fee of $100 per sled. When I stated that was not explained when I called they said you needed to read the fine print of the contract. Very disappointing and unethical. If you are looking for a snowmobile rental I would never do business with them.

We stayed here towards the end of August for our anniversary. The location was perfect since we wanted to take our UTV out on trails. There was 2 gravel roads to head to unlimited amount of trials right next to lodge. Can ether hit the Northern part of the black hills or the Southern. The 3 days we were there, we drive about 200 miles worth of trails. It was really convenient that they had gas on side and the price was reasonable compared to other places in the area. The food was good and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They sell a laminated map of the trails for $20 which was well worth it in my opinion. It showed suggested trails and landmarks. It was nice to cross reference it with my Avenza app to make sure we never got lost. The lodge we stayed in was nice. It was cozy. The only thing we weren't a fan of was the bed. It was firm but after a long day of riding, it didn't really matter. We'll definitely be staying there again in the future.

We went out on an ATV ride and stopped by this restaurant for lunch and fuel. The food was delicious, and I treated myself to huckleberry ice cream for dessert. The food and drinks were great.

We decided to drop by and see what this restaurant was like, and the first thing that caught my attention was how immaculately clean and organized it was. The staff was incredibly friendly and approachable. We didn't take a look at the cabins, but I'm confident they are in good condition. Additionally, they offer snowmobile rentals.

Last week, during an UTV trip, we encountered some engine trouble on our way to Cement Ridge Fire lookout. When we stopped at Trailshead for help, the owner refused to lend us a hose to clean out our radiator, accusing us of damaging the forest by riding through mud. Our group was unaware of this altercation while buying snacks inside, and they were disappointed to learn that they had supported a business that showed little concern for our safety. Despite our legal riding activities, the owner was unwelcoming and rude. We later found the help we needed at Buckhorn Bar and Grill in Wyoming, where the staff was friendly, helpful, and the food was excellent. Avoid Trailshead Lodge if you encounter any issues with your UTV, as they do not prioritize customer service for riders in need of assistance.
