This was the best trip ever! Our group of 19 rented snowmobiles from these young people and it was the highlight of our stay in Deadwood. They were so amazing and we will definitely do it again if they are open for the snow season. Absolutely the best experience! View all feedback.
My wife and I spent some of our honeymoon money this weekend and had a great time this at Trailshead Lodge! Sunday we rented a double snowmobile and went out trailriding and had a blast! Sunday night we ate at their restaurant and our food was delicious! We stayed the night in the studio which was surprisingly spacious and pretty comfortable! This morning our breakfast was very delicious also! It was well worth the drive and money spent! The owners and staff were very polite and great to talk to, we enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon!
I called Trailshead lodge in October to schedule a snowmobile trip in mid-March with my family. I asked about snow conditions that late in the year and what would happen if I had to cancel. Trailshead stated that if I needed to cancel there would be no problem as long as it was thirty days before the trip. We ended up canceling the trip (60 days before the trip) but when I called Trailshead to cancel they stated there was a cancellation fee of $100 per sled. When I stated that was not explained when I called they said you needed to read the fine print of the contract. Very disappointing and unethical. If you are looking for a snowmobile rental I would never do business with them.
Great burgers and great service! Will definitely be coming again.
We stayed here towards the end of August for our anniversary. The location was perfect since we wanted to take our UTV out on trails. There was 2 gravel roads to head to unlimited amount of trials right next to lodge. Can ether hit the Northern part of the black hills or the Southern. The 3 days we were there, we drive about 200 miles worth of trails. It was really convenient that they had gas on side and the price was reasonable compared to other places in the area. The food was good and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They sell a laminated map of the trails for $20 which was well worth it in my opinion. It showed suggested trails and landmarks. It was nice to cross reference it with my Avenza app to make sure we never got lost. The lodge we stayed in was nice. It was cozy. The only thing we weren't a fan of was the bed. It was firm but after a long day of riding, it didn't really matter. We'll definitely be staying there again in the future.
Friendly owners that are very knowledgeable of the area. Good food, we'll definitely be back!
