Description

A no-frills neighborhood gem serving authentic, flavorful Mexican dishes at wallet-friendly prices. Standouts include memorable hotcakes, flautas and refreshing aguas; portions and speed can be excellent. The setting feels like Nuevo Laredo — casual, sometimes crowded, and popular with travelers. Service is inconsistent: attentive at times but often slow or brusque, and staff have limited English. Cash is required. Expect genuine food and a lively, unpolished atmosphere rather than polished service or fine-dining comforts.

The food is quite good, but the service is abysmal! The staff is extremely lazy, rude, and inattentive. It takes ages to place an order and even longer to pay! I realize that it can get busy, but the restaurant is almost empty most of the time, and now I see why. They need to train their employees on proper customer service!

This is a great spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. Don't worry if it's crowded; the wait is definitely worth it. The prices on the bill were reasonable for the menu offerings.

This restaurant has a Nuevo Laredo vibe and primarily caters to people who are waiting for buses to departure from Laredo. The service from the waitress was satisfactory.

The food is excellent for the price. The melon drink is $3 for a large, but it tastes mostly like sugar water. I'm not sure if I'll return because the staff has limited English proficiency, and there isn't an English menu. I had to look up the items on the menu myself.

I am very disappointed with the service I received at this restaurant. I ordered the morning special and asked for a taco with eggs for my 5-year-old. They brought my order first, and it wasn't until I was almost finished that they finally brought out the taco. Unfortunately, it was a taco with chorizo and salsa, which my daughter can't eat, and this wasn't mentioned on the menu. When I asked the server to replace it with something without salsa, she was rude and took another 10 minutes to return with the new order. When she finally did come back, she almost tossed the plate at us. I will not be returning to this place.
