Description
Located off the beaten path, this cozy, local eatery is a notable destination in Laredo, offering a warm atmosphere and friendly service. While the brisket has garnered mixed reviews, with some finding it lacking in flavor and not true to Texas style, the barbacoa and menudo have received consistent praise. Patrons appreciate the sampler plate for discovering their favorites. Although service can be hit or miss, many loyal customers highlight the welcoming vibe and recommend trying the toasted buns with cream corn. I bought two brisket sandwiches and some potatoevsalad to go the staff was very unprofessional. I got home I started eating but got sick with just a few bites. My wife as well we threw out the food it was very nasty never again will I eat here. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
This was my first time eating here. I had the brisket, beans and potato salad plate. This place gets really crowded during lunch time and the parking is not that great. So I would recommend getting here at 11:30 a.m. or at 1:30 p.m. if you plan on doing lunch. The brisket was tender enough to cut with a plastic fork. The beans tasted just like my homemade beans. I will definitely revisit this barbecue joint next time I go to Laredo! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Coleslaw
