Nestled in a picturesque setting by the lake, this restaurant offers a delightful dining experience marked by an inviting atmosphere and attentive service. While some patrons felt let down by the initial refusal of service due to reserved seating, many others praised the friendly and efficient staff who ensured memorable meals. Diners enjoyed a diverse menu, featuring elevated dishes that surpassed typical pub fare, with highlights including perfectly cooked lamb and an exceptional sticky toffee dessert. With its cozy ambiance and welcoming vibe, this establishment remains a popular choice for both locals and visitors alike, including their furry companions.
We had a lovely evening meal. The staff were efficient and friendly without being intrusive. Nice cosy atmosphere on a cold autumn night. The food was excellent and a cut above usual pub fare. Well done Jamie and team. We will be back!
The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor seating area with a view of the lake. We stopped by for a quick drink while on a walk. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The prices were fair and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing.
We visited one of our favourite restaurants tonight a great place to visit for a fabulous meal with friends family. You can always guarantee a warm welcome from the friendly staff and exceptional food from the kitchen. It’s definitely well worth a visit. Also dog are very welcome
We ate at this restaurant for two nights during our recent stay at the South Lakeland holiday park. The staff were fantastic and took great care of us, even accommodating our large Greyhound by seating us in a place where he could lay down. The food was better than we expected, especially considering it was a new menu. Both dishes I tried were delicious - the lamb was cooked perfectly the first night and the pork was also perfectly cooked the second night. The sticky toffee dessert was particularly good. Thank you for two wonderful evenings.
