Rax Restaurant

Description

Rax is a nostalgic favorite for many, with childhood memories of delicious roast beef sandwiches and amazing cheese sticks. However, recent reviews have pointed out issues with customer service, incorrect orders, and disappointment with the food quality. Despite these drawbacks, some still find Rax to be superior to Arby's in terms of taste and value. For those looking to relive the fast-food experience of days gone by, Rax may still hold a special place in their hearts, even if some improvements in service and quality are needed.

Love the BBC's. However the lady that was bagging the food is very rude.

Rex has the best roast beef better than Arby's and it's cheaper

Me and my husband stopped in for lunch on our way to Columbus we haven’t had rax in years love their sandwich’s the boy that waited on us was really friendly but we will not be stopping there again they had a lot and I mean a lot of green flies everywhere on the inside none of the tables were clean maybe that’s why it was only us inside and I do understand there will be flies from opening and closing the door, I get it, but you could not sit at the tables because they wasn’t clean. They was green flies all over the tables and windows. That is disgusting.

Stopped with a few friends and family and had a great meal. The food, customer service, and atmosphere was a real throw-back to the 80s fast food dining experience. It was like stepping into a time machine with the tables, chairs and overall ambience remaining completely authentic. Even the menu board seemed original. If only the prices hadn't changed! That's a joke. LOL! Everyone in my group loved their meal (although one person didn't eat because he was having some intestinal issues). I would like to thank the owners for preserving this little slice of history.

I had read that this was one of the last remaining locations of Rax and was interested to see what it was all about. We are from Texas and I had never heard of the chain before but I’m always down to check out eateries with stories. I’d say the good reviews are definitely based in nostalgia and not reality. The building looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since it’s opening in the 80s. The employees seemed generally unpleasant but that’s not too unheard of for many places these days. Now to the important part, the food. Essentially this was Arby’s and tasted on par for the comparison. The difference is that I personally think that Arby’s sauce is what makes an Arby’s sandwich and being that Rax sauce was simply BBQ sauce I’d rate Arby’s a notch above. After we ate at Rax I got a mild stomach bug. Maybe it was a coincidence since we’re traveling but the timing aligns. In summary if you’re going for nostalgia I highly recommend as I could see you being taken back in time with the building but if you’re going for good food, I’d skip this.
