Royal Fish - Lambeth
Royal Fish
Description
Nestled in Crystal Palace, this restaurant offers a mixed bag of experiences. While many patrons rave about the affordability and traditional flavors of its fish, chips, and fried chicken, some customers raise serious concerns regarding food hygiene and service issues. Complaints include wrong orders, aggressive staff responses, and stale oil affecting food quality. However, a number of diners also commend the fresh, flavorful offerings and friendly atmosphere. Despite the discrepancies, this chippy remains a go-to for classic, well-priced takeaway food, appealing to those craving comfort cuisine in a casual setting. Ultimately, customers are encouraged to weigh their options.

Feedback
This restaurant needs to be inspected and shut down due to its lack of food hygiene and poor customer service. They fail to disclose a 30p charge for using the card machine, and if questioned, they respond aggressively and disrespectfully in their language. The oil used in frying the chicken is so old that it emits a foul odor. I threw away my entire meal as soon as I got home. It is not worth visiting this establishment when there are much better chicken and chip shops with superior service nearby. I will report this restaurant to the local environmental council. Without satisfied customers, a business cannot survive.
We ordered through uber. The restaurant packed the wrong food into the correctly labelled bag, then when I rang them refused to accept it was their fault and blamed the uber driver who delivered everything as he should. We can't even eat the food they delivered as we're pescatarians, and the chips were cold and soggy anyway. Embarrassing service...
Great quality fish and chips. Chicken is also delicious. Nice prices, large portions and friendly service. Would definitely recommend!
This restaurant offers a variety of classic dishes such as fish, chips, pies, mushy peas, fried chicken, and sausages at affordable prices. The service is satisfactory and the food is exactly what I expect from a traditional fish and chip shop.
