What jimmy4k dislikes about Papa's Cafe:
We used to go here a lot. Went again last week and was very surprised by the new prices. It used to be £1 for a tasted sandwich and 30p for a tea. But on the last visit, 4 pieces of cake was £9. Tea was £1.50. There were no prices listed so probably my own fault for not asking. But I was taken back by how much it had gone up in the last couple of years. It's very much now in line with Brixton prices. View all feedback.

Lovely cafe in a Tudor-style building to have tea/ coffee with all-day dining, breakfast menu, lunch menu, tea, light bites , snacks, cakes and biscuits. Great for small groups, catching up with a friend or even to settle in a corner with some me-time. Spacious and clean gender-neutral restrooms. Polite and friendly crew despite a busy floor.

I recently visited Papa's cafe with some friends just before the holidays and it was fantastic! I had made a reservation in advance and they had party poppers, holiday decorations, and games for us to enjoy while we waited for our food. The food was delicious, especially the jerked chicken which was the best I've had in Brixton. The steak was also incredibly tender. The service was excellent and they even let us play our own music. If you're in the Brixton area, this restaurant is definitely a hidden gem!
