The restaurant is very... read more I had a wonderful Father's Day dinner at Rakinui. It was curry night, and every dish, including dessert, was exceptional—truly delicious! The restaurant is very family-friendly and has a lovely warm atmosphere. The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly, which made the experience even better. I highly recommend it if you're visiting Tekapo!

No drink order,... read more We traveled from Christchurch to have a special 20th wedding anniversary dinner at Rakinui Peppers in Tekapo. We were seated, and then nothing. No drink order, no food order. The restaurant was not busy. Only 3 tables with 2 people each. After 30 min, my husband approached the staff and asked if someone could take our order, as we'd been waiting 30min. They were not friendly and made us feel rude for even asking. So disappointed.
