On our most recent visit last week, we had lang... read more We've been going to L'Amuse Bouche once a year since it opened, and the quality has been consistently excellent. On our most recent visit last week, we had langoustine bisque, an amazing piece of cod served on squid ink dyed risotto which had been treated to some lemon infused olive oil, and a grenadin de veau. All were really, really good. The desserts fondant de chocolat, coconut, mango pineapple pana cotta, and a crème brulée were also superb. In a part of France that caters almost exclusively for the tourist trade with saucisson sec, jambon cru, truffade, and other ways of mixing potatoes and melted cheese, it's a bit of a relief to know that you can drop in to somewhere as nice as this which does things a bit differently to all of the other restaurants in the town and countryside around. The service by Lucie, la patronne is always very efficient and pleasant, and she finds a nice balance between the formal and the informal. The menu is short, but it delivers well, and you won't be disappointed.

The restaurant is run by a couple, so if you want to eat fast then find somewhere else, but if you want to eat well then this is the place for you.
