The atmo... read more Went to the restaurant last night and had an excellent meal. Although out of season the standard of service and quality of the food was second to none. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The beef and trout in particular were amazing. This restaurant is worth not only a detour but a journey you won't be disappointed.

Ma... read more This restaurant came highly recommended but overall we were disappointed. From the outside it looked very inviting but inside it was dark lacking atmosphere. Maybe this was because it was a Monday night quite quiet. However even the waitress seemed half-hearted about the few clients that were there. As for the food, again ok but not memorable!

The next day we called in again and booked for... read more We had been to this restaurant a couple of evenings before but not to eat just to enjoy a lovely bottle of wine. The next day we called in again and booked for lunch on the bank holiday Monday. When we arrived the lovely waitress, whom we had met on previous visit, greeted us with two menus ,one in French and the other she had hand written in English in anticipation of our visit. Such a kind and considerate gesture which we greatly appreciated. We have limited French but had gone equipped to translate the menu which was not necessary. The food was excellent and certainly matched the service. We have been in France for nearly 3 weeks and it was, without doubt, the best meal we have had. Thank you for making it such a lovely experience.

The food was good but the servi... read more We saw good reviews about this place and were looking forward to going with our kids, but ended up having a terrible experience. The food was good but the service was very slow. The owner was visibly hostile as our kids were having innocent fun while we were waiting for our dishes. At some point she became verbally abusive and traumatized our 3y old by taking him away from his seat and trying to bring him into the kitchen. As I intervened, she retaliated by refusing her to serve us desert. How unprofessional. We are considering reporting her to the police, so that she NEVER raises hands on kids again.
