This is my go-to restaurant whenever I’m in town visiting friends. The service is consistently attentive, and I’ve never had a bad meal there. The fajitas are packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. My personal favorite is the lengua. And I can't forget to mention the margaritas—they strike the perfect balance between tequila and a sweet-tart taste.
The complimentary chips and salsa were excellent, featuring a spicy and smoky kick. The salsa’s heat made me finish my drink quickly, but unfortunately, no servers were available to refill it until my meal arrived. I’d suggest asking for light ice, as my cup was mostly filled with ice, which led to the early refill need. I ordered the beef enchiladas, which had a mild flavor that suggested the sauce might have been pre-made, but it was elevated with added ingredients that greatly enhanced the taste. The meal was very satisfying and enjoyable, especially as part of the lunch special. The staff was friendly, and overall, I had a pleasant experience.
The wait was reasonable, and there were plenty of tables available despite the restaurant being crowded. I noticed that I had about four different waiters attending to us, and they even took our drink orders twice, which I assume was because one of the waiters went on break. While we waited for our food, we ordered queso and chips. They brought the queso out, but it had already gone cold by the time the chips arrived. Additionally, they got my drink wrong. It was surprising to see other diners who arrived after us receive their chips right away. When our food finally came, they forgot to bring us utensils. To top it off, another waiter came over with a beer that none of us had ordered. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and the food wasn't great either. My menudo was overcooked.
The food was excellent! The enchiladas were just right, not too saucy. The pancakes were delicious as well!
