Dairy Queen - Kyle
Dairy Queen
Description
A nostalgic local favorite for blizzards, chocolate-dipped cones, burgers and shakes, this busy Dairy Queen draws loyal weekly crowds and long drive-thru lines. Treats are reliably delicious, and staff are often friendly despite busy, teen-staffed shifts. Expect occasional slow service, order mix-ups, and app/menu hiccups; rare lapses in courtesy and inconsistent remakes have left some customers frustrated. Overall: great classic desserts and comfort fast food, with room to improve speed, accuracy and its mobile experience.

Went to pick up an order. Order not even started ticket sitting on printer for 20 minutes plus. Not wasting my time at this place anymore.
I went through the drive-thru and ordered two burger meals and a chicken strip basket. Unfortunately, one of the burgers was made incorrectly, and the other one was completely the wrong burger. I only realized this after the 20-minute drive home. I called the restaurant, and they assured me that my order would be ready when I arrived. The double meat burger was missing a patty, and when they remade it, it had three patties instead. Thankfully, I was able to fix that myself. However, they didn’t offer to remake the fries, so I ended up with cold fries and a watered-down soda. What a disappointment!
I had a great time indulging in a chocolate-dipped ice cream cone. It brought back fond memories from my childhood, and I believe Dairy Queen is one of the few places still serving them. They also have a new treat—a cone dipped in white chocolate and topped with sprinkles.
I first walked into this restaurant when I was 10 years old, and I've been coming here for over 35 years. I used to love this place. Recently, my wife and I decided to stop by for some burgers, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The cashier was incredibly rude and condescending to my wife, which was shocking to witness. This young man, who was maybe in his twenties and quite heavyset, made several disrespectful comments, including telling my wife, “It’s just common sense, lady. Don’t you have any?” He even made an inappropriate remark about her age! To top it off, he refused to accept my gift card and threatened to move us to the back of the line. I’ve never faced such poor service in all the years I've been coming here. It would be nice if he could apologize for his behavior; if that happens, we might consider returning. I'm looking forward to hearing from management soon.
The reason for only 3 stars is because I ordered on the DQ Texas app. DQ food is great, but the app is AWFUL! This was my 1st time using the app. I ordered 2 mini blizzards, and when I went to pick them up, one of the flavors was not available anymore. So why is it on their menu? The flavor that I chose instead was NOT on the menu! ?The app really needs to be reworked, updated, and maintained properly and promptly. There are no pictures or descriptions of any of the food. You're not able to see previous orders. If you forget something and have to go back, you have to re-enter your pick-up option and car info. If you minimize the app after you place your order, you can't go back to see the status of that order. Very, VERY frustrating!! Terrible, terrible app!
