Was ANADEL at Keule a mag?
It is one of the most emblematic restaurants in Cologne, had written an email from Spain to book a table and we were lucky to have one next to the window waiting for us. Complimentary salad with a super sweet dressing, and several dishes we tasted, to stay with a peas of beef that was scandalous, pity that the German proved impossible. What Heinrich Kaiser dislikes about Keule:
I don't know why we went here. We wanted to have traditional food. But if you're not a meathead, you shouldn't go here. We should've known better. The waiters were nice though, and it's on a central spot. View all feedback.

I came here on one Friday afternoon, essentially for a Gaffel Kölsch beer but ended up having lunch. This place is managed under the 2 G COVID rules which meant that I had to show my vaccination certification and ID to gain entry. The place was practically empty at ca. 14:00 so I could choose where I wanted to sit and I had the full attention of the nice, friendly lady who took my order and brought my food and drinks. In addition to the local beer I ordered a large Rösti with the pork meat from a pigs knuckle, some cabbage salad and a mustard cream which was very delicious. Service was prompt and very attentive. All in all a nice lunchtime experience for 22€ including the tip!

My wife and I were here on a trip to the Rhineland for our wedding anniversary. She had Wiener schnitzel, I had black pudding with mashed potatoes. Both meals were really good and reasonably priced. The local brew Kolsch (Gaffel in this case) as good as ever. Pleasant location, just off the River Rhine, near to the hundreds of shops around the Dom. Just a note, take some pennies to pay the musicians who entertain the diners around the square.
