I'd say it best. It's a tourist trap. Pictures in the menu are of huge shrimp came to the table and they were about the size of a nickel. Extremely overpriced as well. Got to the end of the meal. We're told cash only. No credit cards, That's always a scary sign. Gave her €100 bill was 67 got 30 euros back. On top of that they charged a 20% surcharge already. Bathroom in the basement had toilets full of you know what.

Only cash , after your asking for check they bring the recipt and while reading u can see service charge 4,50 euro. So for two dishes and a beer i been ask to pay 50.30 not happy, dont entry my advise

It is one of the most emblematic restaurants in Cologne, had written an email from Spain to book a table and we were lucky to have one next to the window waiting for us. Complimentary salad with a super sweet dressing, and several dishes we tasted, to stay with a peas of beef that was scandalous, pity that the German proved impossible. German cuisine is not one of my favorites, but the value-price ratio was reasonable and the kindest service of the usual.

Decent food in the city center of Cologne. Not something soo special. It was ok! Fresh and local food. Snitzel, french fries, ham and blood sausage the main dishes. However, the customer service was really good. The waiters were very kind and friendly!! Thumbs up to customer service!!
Very good food. The pork knuckle is excellent and crunchy. I would say, it is the top of the menu. The portion is very big, a monster knickle it is better to share between two persons if you are not that hungry Nice service and atmosphere
Visited here especially for the Pork Knuckle and we were not disappointed. Large portion and very very tasty. This was the best we had on our visit to Cologne. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who was very friendly and helpful. The food and beer were amazing, didn't need to book but we cannot wait to visit here again and especially visit this place again.
Really enjoyed the food here we had the Rosti (excellently done) and one of the sausage dishes. We came on a Monday at lunchtime so it was quite quiet. It's more of a restaurant setup than a traditional informal beer house layout. Prices slightly more expensive than others we'd visited in other parts of the city, but the trade off is you're sitting right in the old town in one of the lovely squares. Good service and decent beer made it an enjoyable experience.
If someone asked me to tell the story about my worst restaurant experience this would be the case. And I’m not sure if anything could top it. We were walking around the city and wanted to have a drink and something to eat, this was the first place we saw, so we stopped here (what a mistake We wanted to try German sausages, so we’re glad that this turned out to be a German restaurant. We chose the only dish that had sausages in in and ordered it to try and start with. When we made an order we said that we order it to share, so the waitress said it is too small to share, but we said that it is ok for us (I’ve been staying in Germany for 2 month now, so I know how big the portions in true German restaurants can be, but again we were ok with having a small portion to share . So the waitress brought the drinks with only one plane and one fork and knife, but we thought she would bring more once the dish is ready. We were expecting a meal for quite some time, and when she brought it out, we reminded her that we needed more forks. The reply was a simple “No.”. At first I was shocked, so I went inside the restaurant to ask again. I was spoken to in a really rude way and was blamed that we ordered too little. I really couldn’t believe that this stupid situation is happening to me. Are they really denying me an extra fork??? The mood was ruined and I was thinking are you seriously making me eat with my hands for ordering too little? (Our final check was 25 euro, I guess you have to pay more to get more that one fork. The dish was ok, nothing more, we were too upset and angry to finish it. But this is not the end, we ended up arguing with a waitress when she brought the check, she was being sooo rude and pretended not to know English, even though she spoke to us when we made the order. She was so eager to know where we are from during the argument, so I answered the truth we are from Ukraine. That’s when she finally decided to walk away and stopped being rude. I told her that I would write a bad review, I was hoping that this was going to make her bring we a fork, but she didn’t care. Please, please avoid this place!

Older clientele. But always good mood.
We have the 92 on 30.08.2020. Birthday of my father-in-law celebrated with 15 people at the club. Service, food and location are simply recommended, all Corona regulations were super adhered. We'll be back. Thank you to the club for an unforgettable 92. Birthday.
The best witch you can get in Cologne is here! The portions are extensive and special wishes and allergies are always discussed. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the service is only exemplary. A relaxed and quiet atmosphere awaits you here and that the place is located in the middle of the city center, where you want to take more tourists, the quality has been preserved here for years! Always happy! And a great thank you for the delicious evenings I could spend here!
The club is a beautiful wooden inn. The restaurant is located directly on the Heumarkt and has many outdoor areas. You should definitely preorder here, because it is usually difficult for good luck. The menu is and regional. From my point of view to some too small courts. That could and should be done. The dishes we saw and ate were excellent. Easy, but good. Price was okay. The service was very friendly and attentive. You're welcome.
