What User doesn't like about Ellison's Bistro:
We expected good food. Soup was excellent. Then it all went downhill...my pumpkin fritters were microwave defrosted, My Roti was out of the fridge, stuffed then rolled and served...cold. I sent it back. Was microwaved and brought back. My wife's fish was steamed dry with day old rice and beans. I love taking friends to Ellison's restaurant. The local chef and owner Elvis is welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious, with my top two picks being the jambalaya and blackened catfish. I enjoy dining on their white tablecloths and appreciate the lack of background music, allowing for good conversation. They also offer several vegetarian options on the menu.
Went for a surprise birthday celebration, and was so warmly welcomed by the host! Our food was absolutely delicious, and so clearly made with love. Can’t wait to return!
The food is fantastic and all made to order. Everything fresh ingredients and you can taste the passion for wonderful Caribbean food. The server was delightful and so friendly. Ellison came out for an insightful chat.
Ellison’s Bistro is such a gem in Kitchener! the food is delicious, the service so friendly, the prices are fair- if you didn’t try you definitely must!
Diamond in the rough. The food and service is exceptional. The building is dated but expected having survived during Covid. Go for the food and overlook the decor. you wont be disappointed.
