I would have given them five stars if the jerk chicken had been cooked on the drum instead of in the oven. Overall, I highly recommend checking out this restaurant if you're looking for delicious Caribbean food in downtown!

The food is delicious, with my top two picks being the jambalaya and blackened catfish. I enjoy dining on their white tablecloths and appreciate the lack of background music, allowing for good conversation. They also offer several vegetarian options on the menu.

I was surprised to find that they were out of rum, considering they serve alcohol and are a Caribbean restaurant. The meal took a while to be served, but it was freshly cooked. The decor could use a cleaning or update, and the lack of a fan or AC made it uncomfortably hot inside. I would like to try the oxtail on my next visit.

B... read more Absolutely delicious food, and warm, kind service. Ellison's Bistro is a gem.I got the vegetarian roti, and the person I was dining with got the chicken roti. Both were perfectly seasoned and very filling. I highly recommend the roti.I will be back!
