The Dock

Description

The Dock on Kingston's Foreshore is a pub near Griffith Lake that offers a lovely location but disappointing food and service. Despite this, visitors can enjoy discounts with entertainment books and two-for-one deals on certain days of the week. The atmosphere is typically lively, especially on weekends, with an extensive beer and wine selection. Overall, The Dock is recommended for its good pub food, particularly the Southern Fried Chicken burger, and pleasant atmosphere for a casual meal or drinks with friends.

Went here for lunch after walking the full length of the board walk. We had never been here before and thought we'd give it a go instead of the other places we had been to in the area.Mainly chose it as it seemed to be the busiest. (I think the reason for this was it was 2for1 pizza/pasta day).Service was quick and friendly but the food was very ordinary to say the least. We had the chicken burger. The price of chicken was cooked too much and hard as a rock, hard to believe since it came out so quick, which makes me think it had been sitting for a while just waiting for someone to come along. Also there was no taste/flavour to the food, very ordinary. Not sure if we'd be bothered to go back considering the amount of other places on offer in the same location.

Attend for Friday lunch with work colleagues. We made a booking which seems to be needed if you are with a larger group. Meals range in prices, food services was reasonably quick and all meals were enjoyed by all.

Pub near the Griffith lake. Location is good. But food is really not good at all - heavy, oily, fat. Service is very disappointing. Staff seems to be overwhelmed. Price is high for what it is. Not good value and not recommended.

I normally enjoy heading to the Dock for a few beers, but of late the blokes behind the bar need to bring it down a notch - or two! Arrogance is the last thing you want served with your frothy.
