My favourite meal on the new, brief one-page menu is the scrambled eggs (they are excellent and come with a homemade tomato chutney that is also very good . The staff are efficient and rarely keep...you waiting to be seated. There are lots of tables both indoors and out (with umbrellas available for shade , and in my experience the waitstaff make every effort to seat you even if you don 't have a reservation on the weekends (best to make one, though . The parking in Kingston usually isn 't too bad, and with a new development across the street, the area looks younger and more revitalized and offers more foot traffic and people-watching. My main complaint about Bittersweet is that the indoor seating is very chilly in winter. It would be great if they could turn the heat up. And I do wish the menu was a bit larger (like the old one , as repeat visits get quite repetitive and don 't really stray from standard cafe fare (I would love more outside-the-box options such as American style pancakes, habanero frittata, Mexican breakfast plate, etc. from our local cafes.
