The restaurant offers a variety... read more A few friends and I rode our bikes up to Roost from Toronto this fall. We were pleased to find plenty of bike parking available. The restaurant offers a variety of vegan and gluten-free options, and the staff were helpful in accommodating our dietary restrictions. The lattes were delicious, and the cozy seating area made us feel right at home, as if we were in our own living room. The trip was definitely worth it!

The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming for families. It was very lively on a Sunday morning.

Me and my friend decided to go to the roost cafe for a cute lunch and enjoy each others company as we haven 't seen each other in a while. Not even 2 hours went... read more Me and my friend decided to go to the roost cafe for a cute lunch and enjoy each others company as we haven 't seen each other in a while. Not even 2 hours went by and the owner comes up to us mid conversation and says are you girls gonna be done soon? with a bad attitude, as she is taking our drinks and plates away from our table without asking if we were finished. Another lady who was waiting in line said to both of us, She is kicking you out because of me. As a paying customer who has been going to the roost for a couple years now, I was shocked to see how poorly the customer service was. Meanwhile, there were other groups who have been sitting inside the cafe for longer than we have (why couldn 't the owner asked them if they were leaving soon, maybe cause we were the youngest girls there? . I am very disappointed in the service because we shouldn 't be kicked out of a cafe for sitting at a table, having a conversation and enjoying our lunch. Despite how busy it was there should be no reason to be kicking young girls out who payed for a coffee and a lunch. The people who come after us should either wait for a table or simply take it to go. Also, there is no time limit posted to see how long we can be seated there for. Very disappointed in the owner and how rude she was to me and my friend as well as the customer service she provided for us. WILL NOT BE RETURNING BACK!
