Killarney Mountain Lodge

We had a delightful meal featuring fresh sea trout, beautifully presented, and our waitress was outstanding.

The lighthouse path offers stunning views, and we took our time to soak in the refreshing pine-scented air, breeze, and sounds of the water. We noticed a surprising amount of litter left by previous visitors, which we took the time to collect. One thing to note is that the mattresses are quite soft; if you prefer a firm mattress, you might find them uncomfortable. Overall, the surroundings are pristine and beautiful, and the buildings have a cozy charm. I hope that as more visitors come to this area, both the owners and guests will respect the local wildlife, recognizing that we are all visitors and stewards of this beautiful place. It would be wonderful to see more landscaping focused on native plants instead of the commonly seen non-native species. The region is home to so many unique and beautiful native plants!

I had the salad, and the heavy portions of both turkey and roast beef felt a bit too casual. I'm hoping that the pumpkin cakes will be a popular choice. Overall, the meal was great!

The KML breakfast was heaping quantities of delicious breakfast goodness. Staff are quick with the coffee and our order arrived very promptly. Atmosphere was relaxing and music was tasteful at a reasonable volume. Highly recommend.
