I was extremely impressed by this restaurant. The food and service were outstanding! We began with the chopped salad with jalapeño dressing, which was absolutely delicious. The salad had a variety of textures and aromas, and was beautifully presented. The steak was the best I have ever had! Both the presentation and taste were exceptional. We visited this restaurant on the first night of our special week and were excited to try the chef's specials. When we made our reservation, we specifically mentioned that we were celebrating a special occasion during our week of celebrations. However, the service we received was disappointing. Les the General Manager went above the call of duty. We had a attendee in our party who was unable to walk to the Sportsman from the Mountain Lodge. He arranged a pick up and drop off. confirmed twice. Outstanding. With this kind of service you love to give you business to an establishment like this. In addition, food super. Our food came so quickly that we didn’t have a chance to enjoy it. Our salad was still being consumed when they brought us the main dishes. A half hearted apology explaining that they had to get the party of 13 ready. Leaving us to believe that we weren’t valued. The menu was not what we expected based in What was presented in the website. Little did we know that we weren’t at the sportsman inn as advertised
We had a lovely table overlooking the docks. Our waitress was friendly and obliging. Lori? She, quickly, improvised to meet our glutenfree request. My husband's whitefish and my trout dinners were delicious! The dinner was topped off with a chocolate raspberry dessert! Thank you for helping to make our 50th anniversary dinner special!
Should be a ‘bucket list’ breakfast if you are in the area. Amazing.
