What User doesn't like about Harlequin:
Under new management, trying very hard, bringing this large pub back. Extremely friendly and an enjoyable night, although I have not been down on a live music night, they have had some well known local bands. A way still too go, but so far an excellent start. View all feedback.
A real change here, only for a beer immersed and stayed for a couple. I was told that there is also money for the place, which will really help him.

Would recommend the harlequin for a Sunday car. we performed at 14:00 clock after reading a recommendation on facebook. the pub is nothing to see from outside or inside, but a warm and friendly welcome awaits. the carving was brilliant....A selection of 4 meats, including lamb, that was unusual for a carving, and carved and served in huge portions. the sweet was delicious and contain cauliflower cheese and rich piping hot thick gravy. everything for just £8, with free tea and coffee that they help themselves. the puddings didn't try because we were too full after the carvery. we will be back, thank you
They always try to use the pub, as new renters have taken responsibility, it has come to jump and borders in the last months just going to show that estate pubs, when they run properly, can be lively and pleasant place for all. the food is...a worth of all freshly cooked and huge in the amount that bar is well stocked, clean and the staff are very impressive and friendly always. Friday is my fave time to visit as they always have a fantastic band on and the atmosphere really makes rock. big pub not from a visit as they will be disappointed to miss this jewel of a local alcohol
Visited this estate pub today and was very impressed with the high quality of the beer and service , ok so on the outside it’s a little dated but tbh what pub isn’t these days , but don’t be fooled by the exterior inside beats...a heart of gold , I’d heard about it doing Sunday roasts from my neighbour who visits regularly , and decided to try for myself ,for a pub of this stature I was mightily impressed , there was a choice of three meats , a vast range of piping hot vegetables and roast potatoes , the gravy was delicious as was my turkey , the place was clean to a high standard and the bar service was fantastic , best of all none of this different pricing malarkey , one set price have as much or as little as you like , also a range of home made desserts on offer , I didn’t try as I was stuffed after my main course but all looked delicious , no more trips too the trading post for us , I’ll be dining locally at a fantastic pub on my doorstep !!who knew ??? Well done to the landlady and son for making the experience memorable and enjoyable . Here’s to a bright future , cheers
