The Claypot Taverna - Kensington

We went for Sunday lunch with friends and had a great experience. The food was delicious - I had the goat claypot, which was a generous portion for one person. Our friends tried the lamb and lamb shanks, and we all agreed that two claypots between three people would have been enough. My wife ordered the fish and she absolutely loved it. The appetizers were tasty and well-prepared. The decor of the restaurant was also fantastic. Overall, we had a wonderful meal and will definitely be returning in the future.

Our new favorite spot has average decor, but the food is incredible and reasonably priced. We visit twice a month and have hosted multiple family events there.

Outstanding restaurant. My husband and I dined at this amazing restaurant four nights ago and we are already planning to go back with our son and daughter, who are excited to try the food and experience the atmosphere we have been raving about. The owner and staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The charming atmosphere was filled with trinkets and wine bottles on shelves, along with a colorful clay oven in the corner. The authentic Greek music playing made us feel like we were on the Greek Islands. My dish, the clay pot slow-cooked lamb and vegetables, was served with elegance and was incredibly tender and delicious. My husband enjoyed a generous portion of grilled and glazed salmon with a fresh, crisp salad. We also indulged in freshly baked crusty bread and glasses of rich, red Greek wine. It was heavenly. This time, I am looking forward to trying the Moussaka and saving room for dessert. I can hardly wait!

Best Restaurant Experience in Years. Amazing food, cute atmosphere, very reasonable prices (such a novelty in the Eastern Suburbs) AND we got serenaded by the adorable (new) owner. Very unpretentious too. <br/ <br/ We had the moussaka, spinach salad, souvlaki and lamb in a claypot. All were superb. The dessert was incredible too (galaktoboureko) just ask for the Semolina Pastry! All handmade. <br/ <br/ Highly recommend to anyone.

Seafood Claypot. I was excited to try this restaurant since i passes this place several times . Delicious seafood claypot, loved The Taverna atmosphere .... and the owner was very friendy and attentive .
