We recently tried this new restaurant in the area and were very pleased with our experience. We ordered the pear dish and the Ricotta Gnocchi, both of which were delicious, but the Gnocchi was simply outstanding—rich in flavor yet perfectly balanced. I could have easily eaten more! The dessert, a pudding, was absolutely beautiful and just the right level of sweetness, followed by a double espresso to finish off the meal. I would definitely return here. The atmosphere is lovely, with a lounge vibe complemented by great jazz music. The only thing I would suggest is to lower the volume a bit.
Traveling around and coming over this place, I sat at the bar and had some nice cocktails and the meatball appetizer that was very good! I got the shrimp Sampi to go and it was delicious, staff was very nice and who I guess was the manager helped everyone when it was from the bartender to the pizza type. Pizza looked delicious even though I didn't get it. I would recommend this restaurant!
The concept here aims for perfection. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming without any pretentiousness. The food is outstanding—especially the pizza, which truly is a work of art; you won't find anything quite like it elsewhere. I’ve scrutinized the menu several times over the past few weeks and haven't been disappointed with many of the items. It wasn’t surprising to learn that the chef has a noteworthy reputation. The service is polite and attentive. The male bartender embodies the perfect personality for the bar; he’s friendly, humorous, and has a great demeanor. The service staff appears to be well-trained and genuinely seem to enjoy their work. An unfortunate truth is that poor attitudes among staff can ruin a restaurant's reputation, but this establishment has largely avoided that issue—aside from one person whom I won’t name, but I’d be happy to share feedback with management. Manny, who manages the pizza oven, is an absolute master of his craft. Watching him in action was a delight; his focus and dedication are clear. He is a true professional, not just someone going through the motions. The pizza he produces is perfect in every way—he truly is a gem. There’s a great deal to learn from people like Manny, especially in an area that often attracts overly privileged and snobbish attitudes. My only criticism would be regarding the beer selection; there’s not enough variety. The menu leans heavily towards IPAs and light beers, lacking options like seasonal brews, brown ales, or truly artisanal craft beers. Additionally, I’d caution against taking too much stock in Yelp reviews, as some reviewers can undermine a good business for unreasonable reasons.
We went for brunch and had a lovely meal. We had the Greek salad and the mushroom bisque to start and the pork chop and seared halibut for our mains. The salad, while on the small size, was delicious the dressing was really nice. The mushroom soup was creamy and with that warm mushroom flavor. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and served with potatoes pancakes and roasted peppers. The halibut was fresh and flavorful with an interesting and tasty combination of lentils and shishito peppers.
