I feel a bit embarrassed that it took me so long to write a review for Saki. Since it opened, it has become my partner and my favorite sushi restaurant in all of Kansas City! I highly recommend the Phoenix, Happy Dragon, and Spicy Shrimp rolls – we get them every time we visit. And definitely don’t miss out on the crab appetizers; they are incredibly flavorful and satisfying! View all feedback.

This was the first time I've eaten here. My daughter loves sushi, especially on her birthday. Overall, the experience was good. Like so many other businesses, they were under staffed and so our waiter was in and out pretty quick since he had so many tables. Half of their diningroom looked like a storage area. Also, I was looking forward to getting her the comlimentary Birthday Ice Cream and singing to her with the st... View all feedback.
Ordered the Blue crab roll. Pretty tasty and good amount of real blue crab.
Absolutely wonderful. the sushi is amazing. if I lived closer, I would often be there for dinner.
Fantastic food. I've been to this restaurant several times for sushi and have never had a bad experience. The staff has always been pleasant and the food is consistently well prepared. Definitely a go to place for sushi in KCMO.
Our first time here and it is absolutely delicious! My husband did the shrimp hibachi and I did the orange peel chicken oh my God it is so good! The eggrolls are small and very flavorful. I would much rather have small eggrolls with flavor and great big huge ones only filled full of cabbage. We did not like the sweet and sour sauce but the orange pill chicken sauce was absolutely fabulous!
I really want to give it a 4, but I can’t get past the “filth”. I’ve been a regular at this restaurant for 5-years. The tables continue to get stickier each visit — so much so that the menu got “stuck” to the table. When you go to the restroom, your feet stick to the floor. One of the menus was actually falling apart. They have a bunch of supplies and chairs stacked up in customer view towards the restrooms. All that being said, the service is outstanding. The server is attentive. The food was brought out quickly. There was perfect timing between appetizers and main course. The table was bussed appropriately. We were greeted and seated immediately, even with other guests that entered at the same time. 5-star service. The food. With exception of the crunchies being super stale for the egg drop soup, everything was fantastic. We had egg drop soup for 2 — it was as fantastic as always— there is actually enough for 4 — we had some to take home. They have a nice twist adding shrimp and chicken. I always get the blue crab roll with a generous portion of real crab on top. My daughter had the caterpillar roll, which she very much enjoyed. That roll is not for me — too sweet. It was decorated as a caterpillar with sweet cherries for eyes and eel skin tail, lol. It had a sweet sauce that went well with cream cheese. She loved it, just not for me. Value — I’d have to give it a 2 for my roll — $17.95 is pretty steep for the quality for a single roll. At that price, you might expect “lump” crab meat. I’m pretty sure it’s tiny shreds or canned crab meat — it’s definitely real, not Polock. I don’t think I’ll be going back for a while. Dinner for two with 25% tip was $90. At that price, the service was great, but the cleanliness and stale crunchies were a big turn-off. We did have the spring roll appetizer, 2-rolls, and egg drop soup. The spring roll was fantastic, but the peanut sauce was thick and chunky (unappetizing).
