Beautiful location inside the museum. Tables are set within a courtyard feel with high ceilings. On the pricier side, but it was all really tasty. A couple of us had the pork tenderloin, which was delicious, but could have certainly used a slightly larger portion, especially for the price. What Val doesn't like about Rozzelle Court:
Food has gone downhill....I ate there yesterday, had the Power Bowl, so disappointed in a $14. salad...menu says that it has greens, they were few and not fresh....entire thing overpriced and so unimaginative, poorly presented.Have eaten there for years, not sure what has changed. Rozzelle Court Restaurant at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art leaves much to be desired when it comes to the culinary experience. While the setting is charming and the ambiance is pleasant, unfortunately, the food fails to live up to expectations.The menu lacks variety and creativity, and the dishes we tried were rather bland and uninspiring. The flavors seemed to be lacking depth, leaving us underwhelmed with each bite. It was disappointing to see that the culinary offerings did not match the artistic excellence found throughout the museum.Additionally, the coffee was a major letdown. For coffee enthusiasts like us, a good cup of coffee is essential, especially when paired with a meal. Unfortunately, the coffee at Rozzelle Court fell short of even basic expectations. It tasted stale and lacked the rich and robust flavor that we had hoped for.Despite the restaurant's lovely setting, the overall dining experience was disappointing, and we left feeling unsatisfied. Considering the outstanding art and cultural experiences available at The Nelson-Atkins Museum, we had hoped for a culinary adventure that would complement our visit. Regrettably, Rozzelle Court fell short in delivering a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.We do hope that the museum management takes these concerns into consideration and works to improve the restaurant's culinary offerings. With such a beautiful setting and a captive audience of art enthusiasts, Rozzelle Court has the potential to become a truly exceptional dining destination that complements the outstanding art and cultural experience found at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. Until then, we will be exploring other dining options outside the museum during our visits.
I was a little taken back by the food. It looks delicious… but tastes just a little off. The Key Lime pie was really disappointing as well as the chicken salad sandwich with black olives everywhere..I have eaten there and it was glamorous. The tomato soup was great. I’ll probably just stick to a light meal :
