My husband and I went to this restaurant on a Saturday night while I was car shopping, so it was a special treat. We were so pleased that we decided to eat here because everything was wonderful – the service, the food, and the ambiance. I chose a plant-based burrito and my husband had tacos. We definitely plan to come back again. (Review updated on September 23, 2021) View all feedback.
What Shaan Somani doesn't like about Mission Taco Joint South Plaza:
Decent food with even better drinks. The zombie tiki drink was really tasty and strong. Among the three tacos I had, the fried chicken was easily the best. The pork taco was good but not great. I would recommend against getting the carne asada taco, I found it pretty boring. I found the texture of the corn tortillas to be off. Overall, for the price, I'd recommend coming here mostly for the drinks and skipping out on... View all feedback.
Their tacos are incredible. Margaritas are great! Do yourself a favor and get a mezcal marg and a BLT taco. I recommend trying 3 different ones. Two is enough but 3 will definitely fill you up. Tacos are around 3.50 which is an amazing deal.
Parking was a little difficult to figure out cause I was new to the area, we got a spot right out front but it’s on a street so I think there’s a garage we drove past. Food was AMAZING! Recipes were very original and tasted homemade. I was expecting a fast serve taco place given the minimal info my friend gave me but I highly recommend stopping for lunch here! Good food and our waitress was nice
Really enjoyed our visit on a breezy afternoon. Fabulous margarita, delicious tacos, very, very quick service. Least favorite was the queso fundido, would question the cheese choice.

Flavor profiles sounded amazing, but the tasted mediocre. Tried the fish taco, the chorizo, and the shrimp. The chorizo was by far the most flavorful taco of the three. Small and lacking in flavor, really not worth the almost 4 dollars a taco.
