We went 3 nights in a row! We waited 15 minutes in the first night. Personnel was a problem and tables few. Next two nights, don't wait. Yesterday evening, they fled out of food early. Meet a few problems everywhere and you never know when! Excellent food, delicious salads! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Iron Horse:
The beef brisket was really dry, and the barbecue sauce too overpowering, probably in attempt to cover up the mediocrity of the brisket. The steak fared much better, being appropriately seasoned and seared. The sides were a game changer, though the onion rings are a must have and the roasted aspagarus were great, too. The dessert we had, which was lava cake, was decadent and a great end to the meal. View all feedback.
The food isn’t anything to give 5 stars about, but the restaurant is swimming with a ton of cool history. After dinner we walked down the street to a bar that we found closed so when we arrived back for drinks (with the required appetizer under Utah state law) the waitstaff were sweet and attentive made our night so much more fun !
The atmosphere was quite fun and rustic. The food looked amazing, but looked better than it tasted. They had to leave the front door open to keep to smoke out so we were sitting inside the restaurant shivering with our jackets on and hoodies over our heads. Our salads never came to the table until we asked for them after our food came out. Maybe it’s just because of the off season. The place wasn’t busy at all.

Fun western cabin friendly atmosphere. The onion rings are delicious and are thick slices of rings. The Cowboy-Poppers are quite unique, like bites of cheeky cornfritters with a touch of a kick from the Jalapeño. The pulled pork wreath came up with lots of meat with Bbq sauce, but the meat itself was not very tasteful, the whole taste came from the Bbq sauce.
Would highly recommend eating here if you are in the Kanab area! The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is just so much fun. Since they were just from the season, they only had a waitress who probably managed 15 tables at a time, but she was a professional and knew how to take care of the business. We had to wait a little for food because of the short staff, but we had walked all day and didn't notice, wait and relax in such a fun place with great people. Look at this place!
