While on vacation in Australia, specifically in Kailua, Hawaii, we stopped by Up Roll Cafe for a quick lunch. Despite being busy, the service was exceptional. Each of the three of us tried different dishes - two dishes and one roll - and they were all delicious. We will definitely be returning. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Up Roll Cafe Kailua:
had a soggy sushi burrito that fell apart. they did another, but were not too friendly. I wanted to give the half that I didn't eat to a homeless outside, but the ones prefer the uneaten half in the müll. View all feedback.
I ordered the vegan bomb roll, which has a slight spicy flavor. I also asked for half white and half brown rice. It's like a combination of a burrito and a sushi roll.
The inari bowl was really pretty tasty but it’s limited. They could easily make more choices available.
There is a selection of customizable options including a vegan protein (inari tofu) with various vegetables, sauces, and base choices available in either a bowl or burrito at this restaurant. While there is something for everyone to eat, the overall flavor was just average. However, the Avocado Keiki Roll was exceptional, suggesting that perhaps the burrito simply wasn't to the reviewer's taste.
I enjoy the customizable wrap or bowl concept at this restaurant. You use a reusable form to design your own order with a marker. Their only vegan/vegetarian protein option is Inari tofu, which is a mix of fried tofu with takuwan, edamame, and plain tofu. The fried tofu was well-seasoned and delicious. I personally preferred the wrap while my husband enjoyed the bowl more, both of which were very satisfying.
I like my own wrap or bowl concept here. they fill out a reusable form with marker to create their order. the only vegan vegetarian protein option is inari tofu, which is a mixture of fried tofu with takuwan, edamame and simple tofu. the fried tofu was marinated and very good! I liked the packaging and my man preferred the bowl, both were very full. updated by previous review on 2019 11 26
