Experience a night of music and hula at this Waikiki venue, where the staff braved a downpour to entertain guests. While the food may not have lived up to expectations, the ambiance and live entertainment make it worth a visit. A visit to this "old school" steakhouse left diners wishing for a quicker dining experience, despite solid food. While a long-time favorite for special occasions, Jerico's failed to impress with underseasoned steaks on a recent visit. With a stunning location and attentive staff, guests at Orchids were treated to exceptional food and service for a special night out. At Oscar's, enjoy great food and brunch options, but make note that reservations are not accepted, even when booked online. Visitors looking for a wonderful brunch experience will be delighted by the buffet at Oscar's, complete with fresh offerings. House Without a Key in Honolulu offers sunset views and delicious cocktails, along with excellent service and live Hawaiian music. Overall, while the restaurant may be on the pricier side, the experience is well worth the cost for a special occasion.
As always, the highlight of the meal was the prime rib. That's the main reason I occasionally stop for dinner at Jerico's. The blue cheese salad dressing is so-so and tastes like a glass, but the wine portions are quite generous, although the wine list is pretty dated and conventional. And at 77, I just have to have qualified to reach the minimum age for entry! Still, the prime rib is the best in town.!
I had been turned off by a few people because I LOVE prime rib. I had just heard great things about the restaurant. Unfortunately the whole experience was disappointing for us. We had reserved at the open table and requested a stand. When we got there, the hostess didn't confirm our reservation when we told her we booked them online and still got us to a table. She was our waitress and was pretty good. The drinks were well made but small for the price. We ordered the prime rib. I got the girls cut and my husband got the kings cut which is about a $ 20 difference in price. When they came out, they were exactly the smaller portion I ordered in length and thickness. We ordered medium rarity (which it came off like), but it had no flavor and was extremely tough. If there's one thing I love almost as much as prime rib, it's ranch dressing. It was chunky and tasted terrible. (and no, it wasn't blue cheese) To get our USD 100 bill at the end of our meal, we were both utterly disappointed with the entire meal. The quality did not reflect the cost.
We had dinner here on our last day in the hotel. Great way to close out a great stay. Make sure to make a reservation. Spots are limited. Casual attire welcomed. Food was great, as was the service and live music. The missus recommends the drink The Sunset.Wasn't on the menu we were given but a server recommended it and she loved it. Would definitely recommend and go back again!
Everything was perfect in House without a Key. From the views, live music/entertainment, service, and food--they sure know what they're doing. Make sure to make reservations a few days/weeks ahead! Our server Ian, was great! He gave recommendations andwas so attentive to us, he made our night. He even surprised us with a coconut vanilla cake to cap off the evening as we werecelebrating our honeymoon/birthday. Everything we ordered was delicious! We had the grilled hamachi jaw, beef wrapped in salad, and the fresh catch of the day. Would definitely come back again!
