Eat here. Every day. I just visited a friend in Kailua and I had Konos every morning. I wouldn't say I'm a breakfast Burrito expert, but I eat it. Much. And these bombers are BOMB. Ask Brenan for his menu recommendation, the Big Wave. He also has great suggestions for local hikes and must-sees. We called Brenan every morning and he had our bombers ready to fire our adventures. What Kendyle First doesn't like about Kono's:
I got the sprout bagel and it had no flavor, had to dump salt on it. My husband's burrito needed to be covered in sauce and salt too. There was also chunks of tin foil in the middle of my bagel for some reason? It wasn't wrapped. A friend we were with had a broken straw in his milk shake- not the straw he was drinking with, a piece of a different straw in the bottom. It's fine, wouldn't come back View all feedback.
I grabbed the Haleiwa Bomber who wanted a little bite to keep my partner and after a long hike. I thought this place was known for her slowly roasted pigs, I didn't really want to get in the way. This bomber was beyond expectations. I thought it might not be with potatoes and egg like you could find with typical burritos. But I was very wrong. This 2 paired so well with the award-winning pork that I didn't really want to share anymore. It came with a salsa, but I didn't even harass it (a rare occasion for me). Katsu (which I spell correctly) helped me and was kind. He didn't just talk with a little conversation on the surface, but actually had a good chat with everyone I saw helping him. Thank you. The 12 hours slowly roasted pig is so juicy and tasteful. Great stop for Brunch or after any hike or beach trip! No Dine offered in services at the moment and no outdoor seating.
Great discovery! by and menu was too good not to try. Pulled pig super tasteful and moisture. We all chose something else and everyone was delicious. Milkshake was thick and rich. Smoothie was dying!! Definitely great value, we will be back!
Kono was an amazing addition to our beach day! Fast and tasty, the pork plate was healthy, hearty and absolutely delectable. The salad dressing was possibly the best salad dressing I've ever tried in my life. Papaya seed dress? If I could get this in Canada, I might eat more green. 5/5
We had some phenomenal pork sandwiches at this restaurant, which is in a great location and had a very friendly waitress who was very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be returning to this restaurant, the size of the portions were a great value for the price you pay and the flavors are fantastic.
