The Shack was great! There was no waiting when we arrived and sat on the outside terrace (sun shaded) and were served by Shaunny. She was excellent! Super fun and welcoming. The restaurant is known for its burgers, so we gave everyone a try. Absolutely not disappointed! I recommend The Shack for your next burger on Oahu. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Shack Kailua:
The service was painfully slow and the staff was a little flying, but thankfully accurate. It took about 30-45min, just to order and then 1 hour to get the food. Tables and chairs were a bit sticky, but I think it's the cleaner they use because it doesn't look dirty. Not overly impressed, but gives 3 stars to the fact that the food was decent and hot when it came out. Probably not come back. View all feedback.
I picked up a couple of burgers to go the other night. I typically order the cheesesteak, but I decided to try something different, and I’m glad I did! The phone service was excellent, and the estimated wait time was spot on. The bacon burger was delicious, and the fries and onion rings were also quite good! Since it's so close by, I’ll definitely be alternating between the burgers and the cheesesteak. Thank you, The Shack!
I visited with a group of friends at 10:20 PM on October 13, 2023, hoping to have a drink since the posted hours indicated that the restaurant closed at 11 PM. However, before we could even enter, we were turned away and told they were closed. It was clear they were not telling the truth, as we could hear them laughing as we walked back to our car. I do not recommend this place at all and will never return. I will also be advising everyone I know to stay away from this establishment.
After a snorkeling adventure at Hanauma Bay, we were looking for a nice place to grab a bite to eat. Fortunately, we stumbled upon The Kailua Shack, and it was a fantastic choice! The food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend it if you’re driving along the East Coast of Oahu!
"A local favorite in Kailua for friends to gather and enjoy a few drinks while watching something on the television. The atmosphere is relaxed, with regulars and locals keeping the noise level down, making it a nice escape from the tourist crowd. Food: 4/5, Service: 4/5, Atmosphere: 4/5."
Aloha, had a fantastic early (0700) Football Sunday. Excellent service, food, coffee beer. The many Teams playing had a great crowd rooting for their Teams. Although my Team lost by 1 point, I still had an awesome time...Kudos, Mahalo GO PACK GO!!!
