Description

Sushi Osaka, positioned as a reliable culinary option in Ithaca, offers a varied dining experience that elicits both praise and criticism. Diners appreciate the late hours and the selection of comforting Asian cuisine, with standout dishes like the Alligator Roll and chicken teriyaki receiving accolades. However, some reviews highlight issues with food freshness and portion sizes, particularly in sushi offerings. While service is generally attentive, occasional missteps in order handling and flavor consistency detract from the overall experience. Despite its challenges, Sushi Osaka remains a popular spot for late-night cravings and casual dining adventures.

The Yaki Udon and Gyoza lacked flavor - the Yaki sauce was watery and the Gyoza sauce tasted like vinegar. However, the Takoyaki was fantastic with delicious flavor and chewy squid. Although the inside seemed a bit runny, which I wasn't sure was normal for Takoyaki. I would rate it 8/10.

I found the Katsu Curry Rice at this restaurant to be disappointingly watery, more like a curry soup than the thick stew I was hoping for. The sauce lacked a strong curry flavor but had a slight spiciness. On the positive side, the katsu was fried well and had a satisfying crispiness. The Fried Buns were served with what seemed to be Kewpie mayo, and were warm, crispy, and fluffy. Overall, everything was delicious except for the curry sauce. I might try their sushi next time instead of giving into the temptation of the curry katsu.

Perhaps it was the time of day when I placed my order, but everything seemed to taste stale. The flavors were off and the textures were soggy. This is a first for me, so I'll let it pass this time, but I'll be honest and give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

Not the most amazing ramen, sushi, or bubble tea to be honest but I could get them all in the same place and they were still TASTY so Im a happy customer. My main complaint with the ramen is the egg wasnt seasoned. Maybe a minor detail but it makes a big difference for me! Sushi was fresh and tasty, though I probably couldve used more boba in my taro milk tea, but it wasnt overly sweet which I super appreciate.
