I was here 20 times. It is a really good place to eat breakfast and/or lunch. The waiting staff is always...ALWAYS very slow. Every time I... that was a bunch. Sometimes the food is decent and other times they are a little slow to cook it. I still recommend going here. Only not if you are in a hurry or get out of hunger. What User doesn't like about Sunset Grill:
The waitress was great, but that was just okay. I have the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast, who was only 2 pieces toast with a glaze and it was cold. We were not offered refills on drinks, (we had a water and coffee on the table, but others have juice) The host was rather rude when we arrived. Others said their food was good, but most were cool if not cold. Nothing special, but nothing terrible. View all feedback.
So disappointed. We had been here years ago when traveling through and still remembered the delicious homemade hash. Stopped in again and my husband ordered hash and it was all vegetables,very greasy, a tiny portion, and you had to hunt for the meat. I ordered steak and eggs. Both were overcooked.
We visited on Labor Day at 11 am. Getting seated was a disaster! Once seated we were never approached by a wait person that was actually designated for us. We repeatedly had to flag someone down as they were going by. I waited over 30 minutes for a cup of coffee! The bus person was helpful, but the overall experience was awful! The food was good when we finally got it. Our entire experience took an hour and a half for breakfast!
We arrived to Sunset Grill tired and hungry after a trip swimming at Robert Treman State Park. We were brought to a beautiful table outside with a view of the lake. Our waitress Cindy was an utter delight! We were pointed to the best items on the menu, so yummy, totally taken care of and checked on throughout the meal. She is an absolute treasure. Highly recommend Sunset Grill!
Great food and services is great.. food was service so fast you don’t have to wait that long for the food.
The food was fine. The restaurant is definitely overdue for a deep cleaning. The outside porch sort of has a view of the lake.
