Description
Nestled in Ithaca, this restaurant has garnered mixed reviews, showcasing vibrant Sichuan cuisine and variable experiences. Patrons rave about the authentic flavors of dishes like spicy sliced fish and delicious dumplings, often highlighted for their freshness and generous portions. However, a few diners expressed disappointment regarding portion sizes and the overwhelming saltiness of certain meals. While some found the service friendly and attentive, others noted inconsistencies, particularly during busier hours. Despite occasional cleanliness concerns, this establishment remains a noteworthy destination for those seeking a taste of genuine Chinese fare in a cozy atmosphere.

Stopped by for lunch on the way to a park. All of us enjoyed our food. Was as good as our old favorite local Sichuan place from Queens.
The staff was very friendly, and there were plenty of menu options overall. I would have appreciated a good 粥 (congee) or some 涼菜 (cold dishes), but perhaps there just isn’t enough demand for them here—or maybe you can request them even if they’re not on the menu? Overall, it’s a decent choice for Ithaca, but don’t expect the same variety or quality you might find in larger cities, such as Rochester’s Yummy Garden Hot Pot, which has an excellent selection!
The food was disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Chinese cuisine. We ordered the beef in hot sauce, a beef and radish casserole, and a vegetable dish. Both meat dishes were overwhelmingly salty. The beef in hot sauce was particularly disappointing, as it was nothing but salt. The casserole had decent flavors but was also excessively salty. The beef and radishes were tender, but did I mention how salty everything was? The service was minimal, which is what you typically find in similar Chinese restaurants.
