I will definitely return to try different items as the owners were extremely kind and accommodating, despitethe limited menu.

The place looks like it could use some upkeep and is take-out only. Street parking is easy to find.

Whe... read more I am remiss at having forgotten to mention what may be the Greatest Cafe in New York. And that Cafe is the Red White Cafe, in Ithaca. For that, I apologize. Where Plain and Court St bisect, just up the street from GIAC, which is the Greater IthacaActivities Center: you will find the Red and White Cafe. Unexpectedly,this Fine Establishment quickly and efficiently serversthe finest food variety to construction workers, community members and others on lunch break; with not much time to wait aroundfor lunch to be served. Such a small business with big heart, great service, great food and long standing history of doing theCafe business on that corner, should be recognized by the City of Ithaca as a Major Food Service Contributor to the ConstructionIndustry which is building up our fair City, and service to it's Community and people of Ithaca at large. Stop by, say hi andgrab a bite of really great food. On Friday's their fish fried haddock sandwiches are out of this world. They have friedchicken, foot long chili dogs, and burgers which make you wish you had ordered two instead. Just get it next time. I have beengoing there for years, and the food just keeps getting better. I do declare you will not be sorry you visited them!

I?ve always loved this cafe and have never had any problems with my order. However, I paid $45 plus a $10 tip today and for what? An inconsistent order. One fish sandwich was about 7oz, and the other was 3oz (we weighed it before Itook a couple bites) he said that this was because we ordered two fish sandwiches, he just cut one piece of fish in half and it?equaled each other out?. The chicken tenders were burnt and dry, the lettuce wilted. I called to ask about my order, and notonly did the cook complain about my complaint, but HUNG UP on me before I could ask for a new order and had to endure a lectureof how this man has been cooking for 30+ years and never had a complaint until today. 10/10 would NOT recommend. This is sounfortunate.
