Cafe Pacific - Ithaca
Cafe Pacific
Description
Tucked in Collegetown, this cozy, homey spot serves authentic Japanese comfort food — standout katsu-don, yaki udon and hot croquettes — alongside a lineup of bubble teas. The owner’s warm hospitality, complimentary teas and snacks, free Wi‑Fi and relaxed music make it a student favorite and great for casual dinners or studying. Expect memorable service and flavors, though dishes can be inconsistent and waits sometimes run long. A small, charming spot worth supporting.

This cozy restaurant offers beautiful food, great music, and excellent service. The cork croquettes were absolutely delicious! They are served hot with Tonkatsu sauce, which pairs wonderfully with them. Although my Shiiso wheel wasn't particularly memorable, I appreciated its comforting flavor. Overall, it's a lovely place, and I will definitely visit again!
The owner is truly delightful and welcoming, often making you feel at home by offering small snacks. The food is generally good, though it can be inconsistent at times. While there is a wide variety of bubble tea flavors available, it doesn't quite measure up to the options at other nearby establishments.
The best comfort Japanese food in the city! The owner was incredibly friendly and often treated us to complimentary desserts. Just keep in mind that it can take a bit of time (around 15 minutes) for the duck to be prepared.
The Japanese lady here is sooo beautiful! The waiting period is a bit long as I think she's cooking, but she always gives us tea and is so beautiful for us. It's pretty nice to study when it's empty because it has good Wi-Fi and almost no other people come.
