It seems to be... read more This restaurant is located inside a large, upscale shopping mall, which means it doesn't have the cozy, rustic Italian ambiance one might expect. It seems to be part of a chain. During my visit around 2 PM on a Thursday, the service was quite slow, and the young male waiter was a bit brusque. However, I ordered the eggplant parmigiana as an appetizer, and it was outstanding—better than any I've had in Chicago. I also tried the calamari appetizer, which was good as well. If you're going for lunch, I recommend sticking to the appetizer menu. Overall, the food is excellent, though it is somewhat pricey.
