Mimi Blue Meatballs is a tribute to our mother “Mimi Blue” Kosene. Mimi was a Lady, endowed with manners, taste, and an easy social grace. She loved good food whether dining out or cooking for a hard-working husband and three sons. Every home-cooked meal had to satisfy the whole family, as well as any friends who often stopped by. Cooking was the way she brought us together, kept us healthy, and showed us Love. At Mimi Blue, we make the kind of food Mimi cooked for us at home, but we serve it in the type of comfortable urban setting that Mimi so much enjoyed. Like Mimi herself, our meatball dishes are classics. Each recipe is rooted in culinary tradition, but refined for the modern palate. Have your Meatballs any way you choose. Mix meats, sauces, and sides to your heart's content.

Server Thomas was very patient and knowledgeable with our questions, despite it being so busy. It was a great dine to donate night for our group.
Not bad. Not great. We started the meal off with a starter of deep fried cauliflower with garlic aioli and sharing a salad. The cauliflower was pretty good but, for the price, the salad was tiny. The garlic aioli was the best part of the starters. I had the Beef BBQ Meatballs and mom had the brisket sandwich with fries. Disappointed that the meatballs and sauce were served over top of the fried potatoes. I wish they would have been served side by side instead of bowl style. My potatoes were drowned in way too much BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce wasn't anything special and tasted like out of a bottle and there was just way too much of it. The meatballs tasted pretty good once I scraped off the extra thick sauce. The baguette seemed out of place on my plate and was way too tough to chew. Mom said the brisket sandwich was dry and the sauce that came with it was just okay. Our server was pleasant and fairly attentive. The atmosphere was nice enough. Pretty decorations and the music was not too loud. I really didn't like having to waste a large sheet of paper by having to mark an X to make my own selection for dinner. It just seems so wasteful. The manager did stop by to ask how everything was tasting. I just said everything tasted fine, which it did... it just wasn't great. I'm not generally one who complains and then was not the time to leave a brutally honest review.
Had the beef meatballs, but really wonder if I actually got the classic ones w pork. They were very garlicky and highly seasoned. I admit I gobbled up the sandwich, but probably not the best choice for a late dinner!
I’ve requested delivery several times (2020), and my food has always been hot upon arrival. The meatballs are filling with decent flavour and texture—however, the vegan sides could use some improvement for the price. Updated from previous review on 2021-10-18
They have three vegan meatball options. I loved the potato one. They have a nice cilantro dipping sauce with a kick. Pasta is vegan, too. The impossible burger my son loved, I felt like it was alright, nothing special for the $14 price. Went on as Monday during the day and service was great and attentive. Went on a Saturday night and lot eaters were empty for some time and our server ONLY came back during dinner once to give us our check so we paid by the time we were even halfway through our meal.
