This is a lovely small community with a restaurant that unfortunately closes during the winter months. The food at the restaurant is excellent, and they have public restrooms that are always kept clean. A charming creek runs through the area, which is regularly stocked by the Department of Fish and Game. It's a cute place with friendly locals.
This charming little campground has a delightful country vibe. The new owner is not only personable but also very accommodating. The price for staying here is quite reasonable. Most of the residents are really friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. A stream runs through the center of the campground, and when it’s stocked, it offers plentiful trout fishing! I also heard there’s good bass fishing nearby. The views are fantastic, nestled right against the Sierra Mountains. Please note that the restaurant and bar are currently closed. The camping spaces are a bit small and don’t have picnic tables, but most sites offer ample shade and excellent hookups. The location is conveniently just off Highway 395, south of Big Pine.
