As brilliant as I remembered years ago. Big FAT WONTONS, in the soup, with Spicy Chinese Mustard, not the pedestrian BS. The Pepper Steak and General Tso's Chicken were as spectacular as ever. The Fried Rice came hot and fresh, not as it sat in the warmer for hours. It's been a long time since, I'm glad to see that they've made it through all the pandemic and crazy construction on S Shepard that has been going on for... View all feedback.
What Llewellyn Emard doesn't like about Hunan Village Restraurant:
Worst Chinese food I ever had in Texas. The food was under-prepared, not fresh. All the food had a very tacky smell (even when you enter that restaurant, you'll get it). I can't even explain the taste. Not going there ever, complete waste of money. We are fond of Chinese food but after this experience we will thoroughly check everything before we try any new Chinese restaurant. View all feedback.
The portion sizes are huge. I really enjoyed my dish and it was spicy as advertised. The service is a little slow which keeps them from a 5 star. Absolutely a great spot.

I and my partner go here at least once a week. There is a ton of vegetarian options. We love the Veg Sesame Chicken. I try something different every time, but it's always delicious. The beef soup speaks to my soul and is a batch order. Then I'll take the authentic Chow fun noodles, soup dumplings and Singapore noodles. They are huge portions, so we get 2 meals from it for such a reasonable price. Chinese American is a dying art that should be supported!
Delicious nut wars! The noodles, chicken and delivery service were all 5. I ordered about 45 minutes from the Best Western and supplier. Totally worth it!
I was driving in the area my friend saw sign that said vegan. Braved the road work. This is basic comfort food I chose soft rolls (small spring rolls the peanut sauce was good. My flexitarian friend had genera Tso chicken. Both portions were large. The service was prompt the prices good ample parking. Nice basic lunch
