Service was a bit hap hazard, started serving other tables before they'd finished the one they started with meaning Food was going cold whist waiting for others to get their meals. Visited for Girls night in spa package, had a lovely facial, best ever, then a bar meal lunch, which was very nice, went for the 2 course evening meal, very dis... read more Visited for Girls night in spa package, had a lovely facial, best ever, then a bar meal lunch, which was very nice, went for the 2 course evening meal, very disappointing, waited over half an hour for bread balsamic oils, the menu was a bit out there for us so opted for the chicken which was very chewy mine was pink in the centre, triple cooked chips looked like they’d never seen a fryer once let alone 3 times, very white tasteless, we pointed out the problems to the manager, who said we were asked if everything was ok during our meal, to which we said yes, it was actually during our first mouthful we were asked, so hadn’t encountered the main problems, although it was evident we had barely eaten anything, we were offered a dessert but still charged the £5 each surcharge for the chicken dish, we spent over 2 hours in the restaurant, service was very slow despite it being very quiet in there, we were later told we could have also chosen meals from the bar menu which would’ve been more of a choice for our taste, as the a la carte menu was not for us, we then went up to our room to watch a movie, to then have to evacuate as the fire alarm went off about 10pm, rooms are lovely, ours was huge, comfy beds, most of the staff are lovely, would definitely visit again Rooms: 4 Service: 3 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view
