The Willows - Honolulu
The Willows
Description
Willows, a restaurant that has been in business since the 1940s, offers an impressive all-you-can-eat lunch buffet in a beautiful garden setting in Mo‘ili‘ili. The spread includes Hawaiian poke, prime rib, and a variety of desserts. While the restaurant may be showing its age, it still provides great food, service, and value. Parking can be limited, but the buffet offers many local favorites, including a dessert bar. Customers have praised the oasis-like atmosphere in the middle of Honolulu, with delicious food and great service. The restaurant is perfect for family gatherings and special events, though some have noted that the waitress they had seemed less friendly compared to the rest of the staff. Overall, Willows offers a diverse selection of local and Hawaiian dishes, a pleasant atmosphere, and fantastic service for a reasonable price.
Feedback
The fact that Willows has been around since the 40's and is still in business tells you a lot about the establishment. I was last here for a project completion celebration and we had an air-conditioned room with 3 tables reserved for a very reasonable price. Included in the price was an all-you-can eat lunch buffet. The spread was quite impressive with Hawaiian, poke, prime rib, all kinds of desserts and much much more. Located in Mo‘ili‘ili, there's a sizable parking lot across from the restaurant. A beautiful garden setting with water features is revealed only after you've entered a modestly decorated facade. Alas it's been a while since the place has been upgraded and it's showing it's age. But if you like the old-fashioned style, this place offers great food, service and value. All around a good place with no particular specialty.
The Willows is now Grace Bible Church. Great place to come and worship our heavenly Father, God. Go to Grace Bible Honolulu to learn more.
Food and family: Willows was the perfect place for a quickly organized family meal. Your buffet has a variety of dishes, so there was something for everyone. I have a limited diet and was pleasantly full at the end of lunch. The garden and the waterfalls were so beautiful. We had a great outdoor space. It's an oasis in town, a great place to enjoy with the family you haven't seen for a long time.
Food was delicious. They had a good selection of different local/ Hawaiian food. Great atmosphere. It was clean and nice. They have several private rooms which, we used one of them. The only thing that was disappointing was our waitress. She seemed irritable and as if she wasn't happy with her job. The other staff at the front desk and buffet room seemed very friendly and helpful. That's the reason for 1 less star.
We had their Fathers day brunch. Food is soo good and the event was priced well. Service was amazing and even though we got stuck in traffic and was late for our reservation they were very accommodating. Our waiter made sure we never went without drinks and he was quick to clear any dirty dishes that weren't being used anymore. We love coming for special events and will definitely be returning.
